PBT Transport is an established New Zealand freight-forwarding, courier and transportation service provider. To meet the freight transport needs of its clients, PBT engaged Pallet Racking Solutions to support its ongoing growth.

Scope

PBT prides itself on being able to offer clients a range of freight services. In 2015, this led to introducing PBT Logistics – a new specialist solution for distribution and storage.
Pallet Racking Solutions completed a warehouse fit out of 6000 pallet spaces for PBT Logistics and is part of The PBT Group’s ongoing expansion, which has included updating and replacing existing racking in numerous branches.

Challenge

The high-volume nature of the distribution industry means PBT requires heavy duty pallet racking solutions that can stand up to high traffic. PBT’s success means we need to be responsive to their plans for expansion.

Solution

We hold a large volume of pallet racking stock. Combined with a deep understanding of their business, this allows us to quickly respond to PBT’s rapid growth with the right pallet racking solutions, within their timeframes and budgets. Likewise, our reach has enabled us to install PBT distribution depots nationwide from Whangarei to Cromwell. Post-earthquake, we dealt directly with Council officials to ensure the Christchurch branch was compliant with the new regulations.

Thanks to a long-term relationship, any issues can be quickly resolved through regular, inclusive communication.
