Eco Farm New Zealand is an e-commerce company exporting New Zealand brands to the Chinese market. PRS was recommended by their supply chain consultant to help streamline their distribution centre.

Scope

The factory was tight for space and the Operations Manager was aware of the importance of maximising the room they had, whilst reducing the picking distance staff were covering.

Challenge

Eco Farm had a short lead time for installation and, due to an increased demand, the team needed to return to complete the installation of additional pick levels in a working environment.

Solution

By taking the time to understand the customers needs PRS was able to work with the Factory Manager to come up with a design to increase capacity and efficiencies. The solution was to maximise the palletised storage and introduce Longpsan racking for a more efficient picking area.

The result was an increase of capacity from 700 SKUs to 900 and a lot less time moving between SKUs.

最终的结果将客户原有的储存容量从700个货位，增加到900个，并且员工在货位之间操作的时间大大减少。

To cater for the short lead time PRS were able to supply product from stock and arrange installers to implement the plan in a timely manner.

PRS有充足的库存，这大大缩短了交货期，并且PRS有自己的安装团队，确保了安装计划的及时实施。
