Legal Obligations

In adherence to the new standards in AS 4084.2.2023, conducting your own ‘In-House’ formal inspections is no longer permissible. To remain compliant with the new standards, it is now mandatory to complete annual racking inspections.

We conduct our audits in strict accordance with a range of regulatory publications, ensuring your racking safety and compliance are current with standards such as NZ Building Code 4219, OSHA standards, SNZ HB 5433:2021, Australian Standard 4084-2012, and more.

For clarity, to ensure compliance with the latest regulations, including AS 4084.2.2023:

• Formal Inspections: It is now mandatory for a formal inspection to be performed by a competent external provider every 12 months. Racking systems under 8 meters in height can be inspected from ground level, using a detailed checklist per Clause 5.2.4. The results must be thoroughly documented, including observations and corrective action proposals. A copy of the audit report should be held by the owner and on-site at all times.

Our non-intrusive inspection process includes a full measure-up and a 25-point inspection, categorising issues by risk level, providing immediate feedback on serious risks and identifying repair requirements.

Deliverables

Post-audit, you will receive a comprehensive audit report, including an inspection detail sheet; all inspection reports and maintenance schedules are to be held on-site at all times.

Our audit service is designed to navigate the complexities of compliance laws, providing a signed record of your racking’s adherence to the current standards, thereby safeguarding against any potential liabilities. A repair certificate can be provided if requested.
